Kerisper is a 4.8m motorboat designed two years ago. She is a “motor” version of Mesker, a sail and oar dinghy. She is a little bigger, with a wider stern, to make a semi-planing hull. The first plan was bought by a home builder living near La Rochelle, France. This first unit was launched last summer.  In November 2019, I went there to test it. We went from the Minimes marina to the Ré island. On the return, the wind rose and this allowed to see that the boat behaves very well in a chop. The layout allows placing the crew weight forward, which is not fully the case on some of the photos taken, for better speed. Kerisper is stable and light at a time, which allows excellent performance with a small outboard and very low consumption. There are very few small motorboats available for amateur construction, while there are so many small boats in our ports with the same program: family outings and fishing. Kerisper is an easy boat to build in a garage using the stitch and tape method. To date, it is built from a kit available at Grand-Largue in France and by other partners in several countries. But I am ready to propose other construction modes, with full-size patterns or simply dimensioned drawings.
